New feature has been included now, a 'taxonomy' post filtering. This option allow the user to filter his/her results based on taxonomy list found in the InterPro entries. This option require that you use the 'iprlookup' option. This version also include new application 'Panther'. Check the README. 29-11-2004: InterProScan v4.0 package is a new one with bug fixes and improvements. If you arleady downloaded this package few days ago, then it could have some differences with this new one. t is recommended to download and reinstall the new one. 10-11-2004: InterProScan is ready to use new alogorithm of PIRSF database memeber. However, the data are not available yet, so when you install InterProScan, the prompt will ask you if you want to use it, just answer no otherwise you could have problems. Some bugs (maybe a lot) can still be present. It you installed it and found bugs, please report them to: interhelp at ebi.ac.uk. This version has been tested with the last data available from each InterPro databases memebers. DATA: You can use the actual data (iprscan_DATA_8.0.tar.gz) to use this new iprscan version. However, CATH is now supported in the new version of InterProScan, so you will need to download CATH data from 4.0 directory (Cath.hmm.tar.gz). Copy the arhive into your iprscan/data direcotry and uncompress and untar.
